01

Frame

Work out what is worth building.

From two weeks

Typical activities

  • Interviews with the people who use the service and the people who administer it
  • Service mapping across the whole journey
  • An honest read on what your existing platform can carry
  • Accessibility and data residency agreed up front

Outcomes

  • A problem worth solving, stated plainly
  • What success would actually look like
  • A recommendation, including the recommendation not to build

02

Prototype

Something real in front of real users inside weeks.

From four weeks

Typical activities

  • Interactive prototypes real enough to test
  • Usability testing with real people, using screen readers and keyboards as well as a mouse
  • A design system begun as tokens, in code and Figma at once
  • Technical spikes on the parts most likely to break

Outcomes

  • Evidence before the build locks in
  • A design tested before the build starts
  • Mistakes found while they are still cheap to fix

03

Co-build

We build it with your team.

Three months and up

Typical activities

  • Native and web engineering
  • Data migration with a reconciliation trail
  • Integration with the systems you already run
  • Your developers in our repositories and our stand-ups from day one

Outcomes

  • Working software in production
  • WCAG 2.2 AA tested, with the results written down
  • A team that watched it being built

04

Transfer

The goal is that you stop needing us.

Two to four weeks

Typical activities

  • Documentation written for the people who will maintain it
  • Design system and tokens handed over in code
  • Editorial and administrator training
  • A support window while it beds in

Outcomes

  • You own the code, the assets and the accounts
  • Your team can extend it without us
  • No licence fees on your own product
