Search a house by what is in it, not where it is
Property search normally offers suburb, price and bedroom count, which are the only fields the database was built around. What people actually say out loud is that they want a yard for the dog, or a lift because of the stairs, and no ordinary filter takes that.
A free text search that accepts features, prompting with backyard, elevator and gym rather than suburb names
The map as the result set, with pins clustered by count so a dense suburb reads as one number instead of forty overlapping pins
Price, beds, baths and locations as separate dropdowns beside the search, for the people who do think in those terms
A result count held between the map and the grid, so narrowing a filter has visible consequences
Area, baths, beds and garage stated on every card, and sold stock left visible and flagged

Somebody can search for the thing they actually want rather than translating it into filters
The map and the list are the same result set, so narrowing one narrows the other
Sold listings stay visible, which is what tells a buyer what a street is really worth
